🎲 Session Summary:

🎭 Event / Encounter 1 – Ambush in the Dark

• The group heard the screech of metal on stone—then Harlekk’s voice echoed, “Hey guys, wait for me!”
  Eldvarr invited the voice to join them, thinking it was Harlekk, but Nelvax sent Ember ahead to scout.
• They realized something stalked them in the tunnels—an ambush predator with short wings, a long tail, and eyes that hunted by sight. Nelvax recognized it as the Monster, once a pet of the raiders.
• Nelvax and Harlekk used illusion magic to lure it into the acid pools. Ember spotted the creature’s head, six feet wide, before it vanished again into the shadows.

⚔️ Event / Encounter 2 – The False Hunter

• Rounding a corner, they found a man leaning against a pipe, shirtless, eyes glinting silver. “Easy—if I meant you dead, you’d already be meat in his teeth.”
  He claimed to be Dirrik, hunting the creature. The party believed him—until the monster returned.
• Crossing a narrow bridge, Dirrik led first. A scraping sound came—and something blurred by, yanking him down into the abyss.
  Nelvax and Eldvarr rigged a rope bridge to cross, and Harlekk tried next, only to see the monster drooling above him.
  His lantern fell and illuminated dozens of monsters below.

🧩 Event / Encounter 3 – The Horde Below

• Voss created an illusionary duplicate across the gap and swapped with it, while Eldvarr hurled oil and lit the swarm ablaze—revealing hundreds of the creatures climbing up the walls.
  Skill challenge: the group fled through collapsing tunnels.
• Harlekk silenced a dagger and kept it ready for stealth. Eldvarr dropped caltrops while Nelvax passed torches and sprinted ahead.
• The monsters pursued, but one ambushed Voss. Nelvax struck it with scimitar and fists, stunning it before riding it through the tunnels like a maddened bull.
• The fight raged—Harlekk’s illusions and Bane spells weakened their enemies. Voss stood as a wall between monsters, Eldvarr cut through their ranks with brutal efficiency, and Nelvax finished off another with a spinning roundhouse kick.
• Harlekk’s Nathair’s Mischief filled the tunnel with sticky molasses, slowing the horde as the group escaped toward the stairs.
• They slammed the iron door behind them, leaving the echoes of claws and chittering below.

🎭 Event / Encounter 4 – The Builder

• In the silence above, flickering amber lights revealed a laboratory strewn with broken constructs and mannequins.
  A half-man, half-machine stood over a table—Nadar Tyk, the Builder.
• His burned flesh and metal mask marked him as a survivor of the Tower’s fall. He mourned his “children”—the monsters below—who had inherited his flaws.
• Speaking through mechanical stutters, he explained that the creatures were meant to protect him after the Tower’s collapse, not harm intruders.
• When asked why they sought entry to the Crown, the group revealed their mission under Signmonder. Nelvax used a joke about “nightmares” to prove their connection, and Tyk laughed—steam venting from his shoulders.
• He removed his own crystal eye—a black, gooey shard—and used it to generate schematics for the castle’s lift system, hidden beneath a churro stand on the surface.
• Tyk gave Harlekk a recall crystal etched with his name: “When the time comes, I will do what I can.”
• He refused Eldvarr’s request for one of the monster eggs, growing furious: “I will not allow them to be killed.”
• As they left, he gently stroked the head of a broken “child,” steam rising from his metal spine. Voss, disturbed, made it clear—he didn’t trust the Builder.
